  • 25 years on and still going strong

To celebrate 25 in music, we are re-releasing "The Dream" - the album that started it all. Available from Monday 15th October.

  • The new project for 2013 - "Techno Beat"

Work is well under way. Check the progress in the "latest news" section on the myspace page - http://www.myspace.com/stickman76590059

  • We have started work on the penultimate track for the “Techno Beat” album

Keeping the original title – “Extatik”, this is sure to be another dancefloor destroying track after we’ve given it the remix treatment!

  • News from Duncan J. White Productions

The penultimate track – “Extatik” for the new album “17”, is coming along nicely. Remixing it wasn’t an option in the end, so we are re-constructing the track from scratch, using the old version as a reference. Meanwhile, a track called “That Drum ‘n’ Bass Thing” is also being worked on and will be included on our album “Flavours”.

  • Recorded vocals for the very first time.

Today, we recorded the vocals for the new track – “Extatik”. It’s the first time I’ve sang on a track, but everything has worked out pretty well. Now it's ready for mixing the vocals with the track.

Mastering on "That Drum n Bass Thing" is done. So work now continues on "Extatik" for the album "17". We have completed the track, next we work on the vocals.

  • Production on our new tune

“Ride Into Love” is coming along very nicely.  Everything has been converted digitally.  We need to add some DJ effects and noises, then it will be ready for the next stage of production.

  • Latest news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records

Today, we recorded the vocals for the track - “Ride Into Love”, plus some harmonized vocals for the backing.  It is the second track to feature my vocals.  The track will sound really good when we do the final mix.

Over the next couple of weeks, I am going to be working on a dance track called “Free To Fly”. Should be interesting.

  • Wednesday 16th September 2015 news from Duncan J. White Productions

We have now recorded all the lyrics as a guide for “Free To Fly”.  I am also going to record some backing vocals from an idea that came to me late last night.  So that will be the basic song completed, then it is ready for the next stage of production.  I’d like to get a real vocalist in to do the vocals.

  • 3rd October 2015 news from Duncan J. White Productions

Well it had to happen at some point – the dreaded musicians block! - no ideas for two weeks. Then all of a sudden inspiration is renewed. I have been working on “Free To Fly”. I said that I wanted to make it into a club anthem. So, re-working the intro is a good place to start, then chopping up the vocals and sprinkling it here and there before breaking into the main song seems the way to go. Maybe add a trancey bit as well.

  • 2015 - Friday Oct 30th news from Duncan J. White Productions.

  • 27th June news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

It seems a long time since we posted some news.  Anyway, we are working very hard on the track called “Do What We Know”.  Having worked on it for a long time, we’ve now  made it sound like a Soul / House tune and it’s sounding good!

We have also finished a track called “Boogie On Down” - 70’s style disco track, which needs some final touches to it and then it’s ready for mixing.  After which, we can start on the next track - “She’s Got Me Funkin’ “.

  • Thursday 13th July news from Duncan J. White Productions

  • 2017 - 24th August news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

We have arranged “Do What We Know” so the format of the song flows much better than it did, we also added some house type chords so it’s now sounding a lot more like I wanted it to.  Next, we need to write a second verse and add that.  We are also going to add some DJ effects to make it sound great.

  • 2017 - 30th August news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

Having recorded the second verse for “Do What We Know”, we played around with it, taking words out and trying different phrases until until the lyrics fitted into the song comfortably, then recorded it.  Also, we’ve added some pad sounds to fill it out a bit.  It’s coming along very nicely.

  • 2017 - 21stt September news from Duncan J. White Productions.

Working on “Do What We Know”, today was spent converting all of the song to digital audio format, and tidying up the track.

  • 2017 - 11th Nov. news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

Over the last three weeks we have been finalising the track - “Do What We Know”, finishing off converting all parts of the song to audio.  We can now take it to another studio to mix the music and re-record the vocals and add backing vocals.

  • 2017 - 25th Oct. news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

We have started work on a new track.  We already have a basic guide with the drums along with a bass-line and some chords.  I’ve also started to write some lyrics.

  • 2017 - 1st Nov. news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

Continuing work on our latest track - “I Need You”, must be the shortest time we’ve spent constructing the main body of a track.  We want to keep it nice and minimal, with not much going on.  We want to let the vocals drive the track.

  • 2017 - 22nd Nov. news from Duncan J. White Productions inc. Stick @ It Records.

We are continuing work on “I Need You” adding a few sounds to lift the chorus.  Also, I worked on the basic vocal track, taking certain words out here and there when the vocal sounded a bit busy.

Sharing Your Information with Third Parties

The Peoples Music Awards is about sharing information with others - friends and people in your networks - while providing you with privacy settings that restrict other users from accessing your information. We allow you to choose the information you provide to friends and networks through The Peoples Music Awards. Our network architecture and your privacy settings allow you to make informed choices about who has access to your information. We do not provide contact information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your information with third parties only in limited circumstances where we believe such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service, 2) legally required or, 3) permitted by you. For example:

Your news feed and mini-feed may aggregate the information you provide and make it available to your friends and network members according to your privacy settings. You may set your preferences for your news feed and mini-feed here.

Unlike most sites on the Web, The Peoples Music Awards limits access to site information by third party search engine "crawlers" (e.g. Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask). The Peoples Music Awards takes action to block access by these engines to personal information beyond your name, profile picture, and limited aggregated data about your profile (e.g. number of wall postings).

We may provide information to service providers to help us bring you the services we offer. Specifically, we may use third parties to facilitate our business, such as to host the service at a co-location facility for servers, to send out email updates about The Peoples Music Awards, to remove repetitive information from our user lists, to process payments for products or services, to offer an online job application process, or to provide search results or links (including sponsored links). In connection with these offerings and business operations, our service providers may have access to your personal information for use for a limited time in connection with these business activities. Where we utilize third parties for the processing of any personal information, we implement reasonable contractual and technical protections limiting the use of that information to the The Peoples Music Awards-specified purposes.

If you, your friends, or members of your network use any third-party applications developed using the The Peoples Music Awards Platform ("Platform Applications"), those Platform Applications may access and share certain information about you with others in accordance with your privacy settings. You may opt-out of any sharing of certain or all information through Platform Applications on the Privacy Settings page. In addition, third party developers who have created and operate Platform Applications ("Platform Developers"), may also have access to your personal information (excluding your contact information) if you permit Platform Applications to access your data. Before allowing any Platform Developer to make any Platform Application available to you, The Peoples Music Awards requires the Platform Developer to enter into an agreement which, among other things, requires them to respect your privacy settings and strictly limits their collection, use, and storage of your information. However, while we have undertaken contractual and technical steps to restrict possible misuse of such information by such Platform Developers, we of course cannot and do not guarantee that all Platform Developers will abide by such agreements. Please note that The Peoples Music Awards does not screen or approve Platform Developers and cannot control how such Platform Developers use any personal information that they may obtain in connection with Platform Applications. In addition, Platform Developers may require you to sign up to their own terms of service, privacy policies or other policies, which may give them additional rights or impose additional obligations on you, so please make sure to review these terms and policies carefully before using any Platform Application. You can report any suspected misuse of information through the The Peoples Music Awards Platform and we will investigate any such claim and take appropriate action against the Platform Developer up to and including terminating their participation in the The Peoples Music Awards Platform and/or other formal legal action.
